About Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation – Maple Grove
Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is one of the oldest nonprofit addiction treatment centers with locations throughout the United States. The center in Maple Grove, Minnesota is one of the foundation’s outpatient locations. They treat substance use and co occurring mental health disorders in adults. One of the nice things about this program is that they’re an in network provider with many of the major health insurance companies. However, they don’t work with Medicaid or Medicare.
The center offers group therapy options tailored for those in the LGBTQ+ community. This includes groups for those identifying as male or female. LGBTQ+ and gender specific groups make it easier to address the unique challenges each group faces when it comes to substance use and mental health.
The programs at this clinic also offer free help for kids and families. You can attend an immersive family workshop, virtual or in person programs for kids ages 7-12, virtual adolescent programs for ages 13-19, and virtual or by phone family coaching. There are also culturally specific virtual resources for Spanish language families and for Native American families.
Outpatient programs are a good option if you can’t commit to an inpatient program. Two of the outpatient programs at the center include a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) program. The PHP is a high level of outpatient care and meets for six hours a day for 4-5 days per week. The IOP meets three days a week for a toral of nine hours. During treatment, the focus is on your substance use as well as your mental health with dual enhanced programs to address co occurring disorders.
They also have a low intensity treatment option. You’ll meet for monthly individual therapy sessions and weekly group support. This program is ideal for those in later stages of recovery who have already been through more intensive treatment.
