Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center is a mental health clinic in Winona, Minnesota. They provide mobile crisis services, residential treatment and outpatient treatment for adults, kids and teens. If you’re an adult struggling with an alcohol or drug addiction, they can create a custom treatment plan to help you recover. They accept all insurance plans.
Here, you can find one on one and group counseling services, medication management and psychiatric support. I like that in addition to treating your immediate symptoms, they also take the time to walk you through some of the issues that may be affecting and influencing your addiction. They offer rehabilitative services that focus on key topics of concern like relapse prevention, healthy lifestyle skills, budgeting and transportation.
They’ll work with you to coordinate every part of your care. If they can’t provide a certain service in house, they’ll refer you to a community resource that can. This may mean sending you to an inpatient treatment program or another outpatient clinic in the area. They also have an onsite pharmacy so you’ll always have access to the medications you need to manage your symptoms.
One feature I especially like about this facility is their drop in peer support center. It’s open throughout the day, and you can drop by to connect with others and support one another on your recovery journey.
One client who visited this center in the past said that they were surprised to find such quality care there. Another agreed and shared that the staff are super friendly and helpful. However, some have had a hard time finding an empathetic therapist that can meet their needs.
