About Homes of Promise – Izzy’s Place – La Verne
Izzy’s Place was one of 10 recovery homes under Homes of Promise in Los Angeles County, California. It’s permanently closed now but it was a Christian men’s home in La Verne. If you wanted to focus your recovery on Christian principles, Izzy’s Place would have been a good fit for you.
Here you’d find comfortable, clean beds in a beautiful, furnished historic home. You’d have access to parking, cable TV and Wi-Fi, a large kitchen, a landline phone and close to public transit.
Izzy’s Place used a Christian 12-step program called Celebrate Recovery. If you felt broken, Izzy’s Place offered you love, grace and fellowship as you began to heal.
Men came to Izzy’s Place from prison, after being homeless, as sex trafficking victims and with drug and alcohol addiction issues. The caring staff helped with job placement. You’d have random drug testing during your stay.
While living in sober housing is not covered by insurance in the state of California, the monthly program fees were low. You could speak to staff about paying for your fees.
