About House of Hope – Columbus
The Thomas Ramseyer House is one of the long-term residential treatment facilities of House of Hope. It’s located in Columbus, Ohio. The men-only facility helps between 50 and 60 gentlemen a year and has space for 20 residential clients who need long-term substance use treatment. The average length of stay is 6 months, after which the guys have the option of transitioning into one of House of Hope’s Recovery Residences.
While in residence, you’ll undergo thirty hours of varied treatment programming each week, where you learn about addiction as an illness and develop coping tools to maintain your recovery. Evidence-based care includes personalized treatment planning, group and individual therapy, family counseling, 12 Step integration, supported employment services, financial literacy coaching, and problem-solving and initiatives.
House of Hope prides itself on helping its clients to thrive in recovery and it should. All clients that engage in the full program, including former convicts, go on to gainful employment and 80% achieve long-term recovery. Previous clients praise House of Hope for showing them a new way of life, not only through substance use treatment, but also through life skills, personal responsibility, and how to have fun sober.
