About Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital – Cherry Hill Township
Formerly Kennedy Health, Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital takes mental health care seriously and has developed several incredible programs to meet the growing mental health needs of the residents of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. They offer more than a half dozen programs to treat addiction and substance abuse.
Their programs range from maternal addiction to intensive substance abuse treatment to narcotics rehabilitation. There are also outreach programs, medical stabilization services and a case management program that allows individuals to have consistency in care. Individuals are treated by a healthcare team rather than several random health care professionals.
Insurance is accepted, but if you don’t have any, that shouldn’t be a barrier to getting the help you need. There are financial assistance programs and payment plan options to help those who are underinsured.
Individuals who are struggling with addiction or substance abuse and trying to cope with other mental health conditions can attend an intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program. Individuals may come here as their first form of treatment or after a hospitalization or residential detox program to provide a smooth transition as they return to the community.
The program is usually three to four months long, and individuals are expected to attend for at least nine hours each week. Those hours will be spent doing group therapy, individual therapy, 12 Step groups, health education sessions and activity groups.
Children and youth are dealing with mental health and behavioral issues at an alarming rate, so Jefferson Health does their best to diagnose, manage and treat emotional, behavioral and neurodevelopmental conditions as early as possible. They provide inpatient, after-school intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and outpatient psychiatric and mental health services for children and youth ages 2-18.
Psychotherapy, medication assisted therapy and family counselling are all a part of mental health care plans for young patients. They help families and their young ones cope with developmental disorders, disruptive behavior and mood disorders, neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental challenges.
Mental health concerns among adults of all ages can be effectively treated through one of many programs at Jefferson Health. This may include outpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment or outpatient and peer support programs.
