About Jewish Family Service – Phoenix
Jewish Family & Children’s Services (JFCS) is a substance abuse and mental health treatment program in Phoenix, Arizona, south of Grand Canal Trail. They seek to strengthen the communities they serve with a combination of primary health, behavioral health, and social services. They serve clients of all ages.
JFCS provides services to clients of all faiths and backgrounds. Specialized programs include Jewish community services, domestic violence groups, and integrated healthcare. Services are provided on an outpatient basis.
Outpatient programs provide a low-intensity level of care best suited for clients who experience mild symptoms and are otherwise stable. Clients in these programs do not live at the facility and thus aren’t under constant staff supervision. Clients visit the facility for regular treatment while continuing to live independently at home.
JFCS gives clients a personalized treatment plan focusing on their challenges and lived experiences. Typically, these programs are built around a form of counseling, which may occur in individual and group settings. During sessions, clients learn and practice coping skills that will help them maintain sobriety.
Because outpatient treatment is a low-intensity level of care, clients with severe symptoms may be recommended to a different program for a higher level of care.
When considering a treatment program, clients should first confirm coverage with their insurance provider, as in network and out of network benefits vary.
