About La Frontera Center – Tucson
La Frontera Center is located in Tucson, Arizona. They have a wide variety of services for alcohol, drug, or mental health treatment. They also provide specialty programming for veterans, people with DUIs, and those with an opioid addiction. These options include inpatient and intensive outpatient programs and medication assisted treatment, also called MAT. Services are for adults although there are other La Frontera Centers that can assist families and children.
The inpatient program is a psychiatric hospitalization program if you have a serious mental illness. If you’re at risk from hurting yourself or others, you’ll have 24/7 supervision and support from a case management team. There’s also a residential program that can provide therapy with your family or in groups with your peers. They also offer classes to build up skills and help you train for a career.
If you don’t need 24/7 supervision, the intensive outpatient program might be a better fit. You’ll have some flexibility to set your hours and live at home. These programs are generally centered on therapy. Some classes are available in the evenings.
If you need help managing your withdrawals and cravings, there are meds that can be provided. In the medication assisted treatment program, Suboxone and methadone are used to help strengthen your recovery with controlled dosing. These treatments are used in conjunction with therapy.
Transportation and housing support may also be available if needed. They also have programs if you need help with a DUI, domestic violence, or family support.
