About Lighthouse Sober Living Home Indiana – Lafayette
Located in Lafayette, Indiana, Lighthouse offers a non-judgemental, non-medical sober living program to treat substance abuse. They offer residential homes for men and women on gendered campuses.
Their 10,000 square foot all-male campus houses 31 men who are on the road to recovery. Beds are in a large shared dorm or smaller shared bedrooms. A hot evening meal is served daily and residents can use the kitchens to prepare their other meals.
Local amenities include an on-site washer/dryer, pool table and nearby Colombian park and zoo which offers paddle boats, fishing, basketball, picnic shelters and a waterpark.
The women’s residence is located in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Lighthouse has two residences with four bedrooms each that are as comfortable as home. Each room accommodates two beds. The women’s homes focus on healing and compassionate care for the many women’s issues that factor into addiction such as childhood trauma, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.
Residents will have access to moral reconation therapy (MRT) which is a modality that helps individuals change their decision-making errors to achieve life-long stability. Clients will have access to 12-step programs and one-on-one sober coaching from a staff or approved mentor.
Residents will participate in 17 recovery hours each week and will get to attend sober functions such as dances, workshops, conventions and more. They will be given local employment (including for residents who are felons) and help with education and job readiness so they can rebuild their lives.
Lighthouse Recovery Home does not accept insurance. They offer scholarships for those who cannot afford the resident service fees.
