LUK is a nonprofit behavioral health organization located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. They treat adolescents and adults for substance use disorders. They also treat co-occurring disorders if someone struggles with a mental health issue at the same time they are having problems with substances. They can also provide intervention training and services if you have a relative whose substance use concerns you. They accept most major insurance plans. If you do not have insurance, they operate on a sliding scale. No person is ever turned away because they cannot pay.
They will give you a full assessment to determine the level of substance use disorder that you have. This will help the psychotherapist and your case manager figure out the best method of treatment for you. They offer both individual therapy sessions and group sessions.
There are several different methods of treatment they might use. Trauma informed therapy can help you if you use substances to deal with a traumatic memory. They can teach you how to reprocess the experience and memories in a healthy way.

Group therapy lets people meet others who have the same struggles that they do. You will get plenty of peer support during your treatment. They have groups that are separated by age and gender. They also have groups that cover a specific topic such as anger management and relapse prevention.
