Lynn Community Health Center is a substance abuse and mental health rehabilitation center in Lynn, Massachusetts, a short drive from Nahant Bay. In addition to their behavioral health and addiction rehab services, they offer a broad range of primary care services. They serve clients of all ages.
Programs at this facility are designed for both short term and long term care. These programs are offered on an outpatient basis, with additional support programs available on site. Services offered include:
Outpatient programs are those where clients visit the facility for treatment on a regular schedule while continuing to live at home. Outpatient programs are ideal for those with mild symptoms or those who have completed a higher level of care. The crux of outpatient treatment is therapy, which takes place in individual, group, and family settings.
MAT can assist in the treatment of substance use disorder (SUD). Following an assessment, approved clients will be prescribed an FDA approved medication that reduces or eliminates withdrawal symptoms. All medication use through MAT is closely monitored by staff.
It’s not uncommon for those living with substance abuse to also have a co-occurring mental health diagnosis. These co-occurring disorders can worsen symptoms and put clients in recovery at a higher risk of relapse. Co-occurring disorder treatment addresses the symptoms of both diagnoses.
