About Neurogenesis Center of Florida – Maitland
The Neurogenesis Center of Florida is located in Maitland, Florida. The organization provides non pharmacological, research based treatment. They do accept insurance including Medicare and TRICARE. The only service that is self pay is Neurofeedback. Insurance will not cover these services.
In order to decide if neurofeedback is right for you, a quantitative EEG assessment will be done. The assessment will consist of an analysis of 19 areas of your brain. It usually takes about 90 minutes to complete. All treatments are tailored and individualized. The treatment basically teaches your brain how to respond in optimal new ways.
The sessions are scheduled 2-3 times per week, with improvements in symptoms and behaviors within 20-30 sessions. Neurofeedback is used as an alternative treatment option to medication for children, adolescents and adults. It seems to be useful in treating symptoms relating to anxiety, addiction, autism, chronic pain and more.
I like that they also provide equine assisted therapy. Horses are used as a tool in the therapeutic process. Bonding with the horses helps you engage in behavior modification and self discovery. This form of therapy is for individuals, groups and families who are struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety and many more. You’ll typically attend 6-10 sessions.
