About New Beginnings – Worthington
New Beginnings Minnesota was an alcohol and drug rehab center for adults that’s now permanently closed. They were located in Worthington, Minnesota and operated under Meridian Behavioral Health. Here, you could find outpatient services to help you break your addiction and learn how to live a healthier life. They hosted weekly therapy sessions for community members and offered special services for people facing drug related charges at Nobles County Jail.
You could attend therapy by yourself or in a group. When you met, you’d talk about things like how to identify triggers, ways to avoid temptation, and how to develop the life skills you’ll need for recovery. There was also time to discuss the psychological parts of your condition, such as how it affected your relationships, personal growth, and overall health.
Their care model focused on recovery focused education, preventative health services, and strategic intervention methods. They understood that recovery is a lifelong process, and I like that they were dedicated to helping you stay sober even after you left their program.
When you completed your outpatient treatment, you’d work with your care team to develop a long term discharge plan. They’d help you connect with local providers like career trainers, transitional housing experts, and peer counselors who could help you maintain your progress.
