OBOT Buprenorphine Induction Clinic

The OBIC Clinic is located inside of the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center in San Francisco, California. It was formerly known as the Office Based Buprenorphine Induction Clinic. The OBIC clinic is part of the hospital’s division of substance abuse and addiction medicine. Medi-Cal is accepted.

The clinic, overall, cares for individuals with an opioid use disorder. They initiate Buprenorphine treatment. Once they stabilize the individual, they transition them to ongoing buprenorphine care. The care is integrated with community based care or mental health care. Most patients are homeless or marginally housed.
