About Odyssey House – Morrisania

Odyssey House is a facility located in the Bronx, New York. They offer a residential program for women and their children struggling with the impact of addiction. They provide onsite daycare and an early head start preschool program which is licensed by New York City Department Of Health And Mental Hygiene.

Individual, group and family therapy sessions will be available throughout your course of treatment. These counseling sessions will help you increase self awareness, manage stress and develop stronger communication skills. Parenting skills training, health education and learning how to manage medication are also part of treatment. Staff will also assist you with employment and job training.

Medical services such as medication assisted treatment, primary medical care, psychiatry, OB/GYN and HIV/AIDS treatment will be available as well. These services help raise awareness and heal your physical, mental and emotional well being.

Prior to discharging from the facility a treatment plan will be created and they will assist in seeking permanent or transitional housing for you and your family. They offer outpatient services as well as peer support when you leave the facility to keep you connected and assist you with moving forward on your recovery journey.
