The outpatient program Outreach in Queens, New York works with men, women, and teens who have been struggling with their mental health or have addictions to drugs, alcohol, and other substances. As a state licensed provider of DWI screening and assessments, adults who are facing drug and alcohol related charges can work toward reinstating lost driving privileges through the classes offered here as well.

They accept Medicare, Medicaid and coverage from the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). If you are uninsured or are unable to pay then you won’t be denied care. There are also sliding scale fees that can help reduce the financial burdens you might be facing.

For more than 35 years, Outreach has been serving residents throughout the state of New York, helping provide quality, integrated health care to underserved residents and vulnerable populations. Helping to minimize the obstacles to quality care, there are also Spanish and Polish language services here too.

As a comprehensive community recovery organization, you can expect to find a variety of evidence based practices offered here. At the same time, the treatment team will take the time to get to know you and help connect you to the right therapies. This might also include community resources that can help better serve you.

Along with their quality integrative care, I also appreciate their intentional support of different recovery groups. For example, they have dedicated services for teens. This program takes into consideration the developmental needs of this often at risk, vulnerable population.

There’s also a dedicated program for veterans and service members. Trauma informed care helps to drive this program, ensuring veterans receive appropriate care. Plus, any underlying mental health struggles veterans might have are also identified and treated.
