Located in Aberdeen, North Carolina, Easterseals Port Health Aberdeen Day Treatment provides addiction treatment and behavioral health services for adults. The staff uses methods such as medication assisted treatment (MAT) and individual therapy to help with your recovery.
The staff will conduct an evaluation to determine an effective approach for your treatment needs. After the evaluation is completed, you can be given recommendations on what services can help with your addiction recovery. The options that are available in the outpatient program include individual and group therapy, medication assisted treatment, and psychiatric care.
Easterseals Port Health believes that medication assisted treatment gives patients the best chance of healing from their addiction. You’ll receive a combination of counseling and medication as a part of your treatment.
The facility will use FDA approved medications and administer an appropriate dosage based on your health and substance use history. The medicine will block the euphoric effects of opioids and decrease your cravings. Your counselor will help you recognize the underlying issues leading you to use substances and assist you in developing coping strategies to avoid relapse.
One of the things I like about this facility is they provide same day appointments and services for individuals ready to seek help. You’ll also have the option of doing your treatment in person or via telehealth.
