Prisma Health Richland Springs is a substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment facility for children, adolescents and adults and is located in Richland Springs, South Carolina. This facility provides both inpatient and outpatient treatment. This center is also considered one of the biggest mental and behavioral healthcare centers in South Carolina.
At this facility, they treat many different mental health issues including addiction, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder and depression. They also treat women’s mental health while pregnant and postpartum.
They have an adolescent recovery center to focus on the needs of teens as they are learning to cope with their issues and recovery. Their outpatient program consists of two different levels of care that can still help them remain with their family, friends and school. They offer a partial hospitalization program in which the teen attends therapy five days a week for a total of 20 hours a week which typically lasts for two to three weeks. They also offer an intensive outpatient program that typically meets three days a week for a total of 12 hours a week. During this time, you will receive family counseling, group counseling and support.
The adult outpatient program is offered in full and half-day settings where you will receive structured treatment that is both intensive and compassionate. While there, you will work on recovery skills and coping strategies. There is also medication management if you require medicine and therapy. You will also go through education classes and they provide you a discharge plan to help you engage in community supports and activities after you have completed your program.
