About Public Health Center – North Coastal – Oceanside
Located in Oceanside, California, MHS – North Coastal Mental Health Center — now called TURN Behavioral Health Services — is a drug and alcohol treatment center for pregnant and parenting adults with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Mental Health Assessment and Counseling
Mental health assessments help drug and alcohol counselors to evaluate an individual’s mental health and to develop a custom treatment plan, which may involve individual, group, and family counseling.
Inpatient Detox
The detox process supports individuals safely and comfortably detox from drugs and alcohol under medication supervision. Detox is available to pregnant and parenting women. Once stabilized, participants are referred to an inpatient or outpatient addiction treatment program.
Dual-diagnosis Residential Addiction Treatment
Inpatient dual-diagnosis programs are for the treatment of substance use and mental health disorders at the same time. TURN also offers this program to women. The residential program includes a comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment plan, individual and group therapy, medication management, psychoeducation, skills development, parenting and career support, and recovery meetings.
Case Management
This service involves a case manager working with residents to arrange care, coordinate services, make referrals, and navigate services throughout the treatment process. This may involve navigating family reunification, housing, and obtaining employment and other supportive services.
