About Rosecrance McHenry – McHenry
Rosecrance McHenry is a leader in mental health and addiction recovery for youth, adults, and families in Mchenry, Illinois. The Rosecrance system has provided comprehensive and customized healthcare for more than 100 years. However, their clinic at 4501 Prime Parkway, in Mchenry is permanently closed. Numerous Rosecrance facilities continue to operate throughout the region.
Past patients have found that they walked away from the center with a road map to a happier and healthier substance-free life. The Rosecrance Mchenry location offered outpatient substance abuse and mental health services for families, children, teens, and adults.
If you had enrolled in this center’s intensive outpatient program, you would have expected to receive friendly care and support alongside services like behavioral health screenings, individual and group therapy, 12 Step meetings, educational sessions, special topic groups during treatment, and continuing support.
These services were meant to help patients identify and avoid triggers, prevent continued substance use, promote family support, and build connections. Treatment in the intensive outpatient program required nine hours weekly for ten weeks before patients would step down to five hours weekly for four weeks.
Crisis services were also available for those who needed immediate assistance with mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring issues. The crisis services were unique in that there were several treatment approaches. For example, some individuals were placed in the ‘The Living Room.’ This quiet, safe room was staffed by certified recovery support specialists who offered peer support in times of crisis.
Then, there was the ‘Pathways to Success in Crisis’ service. This service offered an evidence-informed model of community-based and home-based intensive care coordination. It was targeted at youth aged 20 or younger who had complex behavioral health and addiction recovery needs.
