Residential treatment is for individuals who need a high level of support and accountability during the initial phase of their recovery. Mental, emotional, and physical stability is a primary focus. Once this is achieved, deeper inner work is started. This can include individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling, and addiction educational classes. Specific topics may include emotional regulation, anger management, trauma-informed care, relapse prevention, and life skills classes such as financial stability, education, and workforce readiness. Connection to outside resources is available and referrals to various forms of psycho-social support is offered. Clients are able to step down into outpatient treatment upon completion of residential treatment.
