About San Diego Rescue Mission – San Diego
San Diego Rescue Mission Haven of Hope is a community-based residential treatment center for homeless women and women with children. This is a faith-based, 12-month program that includes a wide variety of services to help women and their children create a solid foundation and a better future.
The residential program focuses on providing holistic treatment services that address the mind, body, and spirit. This program is for those who are experiencing homelessness, are close to homelessness, are addicted to drugs or alcohol, and who may be experiencing mental health concerns. They are not traditional drug rehab centers or traditional psychiatric treatment centers, so individuals may also be connected to others in the community who can support them. Parenting classes, life skills classes, therapy, and children’s educational programming are provided. Before completing the program, women will be connected with housing resources and they will begin to create a solid plan for their ongoing well-being upon leaving the residential center.
Women are encouraged to continue with any type of treatment and services that are available to them that have helped them improve their well-being and the well-being of their children. Upon completing the residential program, women often continue into an aftercare phase of treatment.
San Diego Rescue Mission Haven of Hope provides treatment to individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford care services. If a person wants to use insurance for any type of treatment, they are encouraged to contact their provider because out-of-network benefits may vary.
