Social Model Recovery Systems, Inc. is a nonprofit substance use disorder and mental health treatment center. They have several treatment centers, one of which is River Community Covina in Covina, California. At the Covina center they work with adults who have dual diagnoses (co-occurring disorders) in day treatment and outpatient programs.
You’ll get help for your substance use and your co-occurring disorders, such as depressive disorder. They also work with people with schizophrenia, mood disorders, mania, and anxiety disorders.
If you’re functioning in the community, the partial day treatment program may be an effective treatment for you. The partial program gives you time to work or go to school and spend time with your family while getting help with your specific issues. There are evening groups available too.
There’s also an outpatient center that offers day long treatment programs six days a week. In the outpatient services treatment program you’ll get help all day for six days a week. If you need a structured environment with individual and group counseling and planned social and recreational activities day and evening, this may be what you’re looking for.
The center also has continuing care services. These help you in your daily life once you’ve completed the partial day or intensive outpatient services programs. Your insurance may cover the programs fees but check first. You can also pay privately and possibly get county, state, or federal assistance.
