About South Beach Psychiatric Center – South Beach
South Beach Addiction Treatment Center (SBATC) is a drug and alcohol rehab located in Staten Island, New York. The center’s services also include critical community services, such as housing, food assistance, shelter, and resource referrals.
Addiction services offered at SBATC include mental health assessment and counseling, substance use disorder treatment, outpatient programs, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
Mental Health Assessment and Counseling
Mental health evaluations assess individuals’ mental health diagnoses and provide the basis for an individualized treatment plan. Participants may also access individual and group counseling to support their recovery.
Inpatient Addiction Treatment
SBATC’s substance use disorder treatment programs rely on evidence-based practices to treat addiction and mental health conditions. They offer programs for adults aged 18 and older. Treatment begins with an assessment and individualized treatment plan. Program participants then attend counseling, skills workshops, and recovery support groups.
Outpatient Programs
Outpatient programs are for individuals who need addiction treatment but do not require 24-hour care. Participants attend individual and group treatment sessions to enhance coping and stress management skills and may attend recovery support meetings. Sessions are held during the day and in the evenings. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides sessions several days per week.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
The MAT rehab program includes counseling, support groups, and medication on an outpatient basis. The program is suited to individuals with opioid use disorder. Initially, the client may attend weekly, but as they progress, appointments become less frequent.
