About Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. – Worcester

Spectrum Health Systems is a substance use and mental health treatment agency with locations across all of New England. They serve over 6000 clients every day. The Worcester, Massachusetts, location offers medication-assisted treatment, outpatient counseling, impaired driving programs and second offender aftercare groups.

Spectrum Health Systems uses methadone and naltrexone to treat opioid addiction. These safe and effective medications reduce cravings and lower relapse rates. In addition to the medication, you’ll also get a full clinical assessment, medical monitoring, educational workshops and counseling.

I like that Spectrum offers same-day services. This means you’ll be able to get through intake, the physical exam, and toxicology on the same day. If you qualify for treatment, you’ll get your first dose, too. All this will take between 3-4 hours.

Another important program at Spectrum is their second offender aftercare program. This is designed for those who have more than one DUI conviction. Participation is court-ordered and lasts for at least 12 months. During this program, you’ll attend weekly and monthly counseling sessions and abstain from substance use. After successfully completing the program, you’ll get your driver’s license back.

No one will be denied access to treatment if they can’t pay. A sliding fee scale based on family size and income is available.
