Work therapy is a critical component of the program as well and wages earned contribute to the clients’ treatment, food, and board. Independent living and recovery focused life skills are prioritized and clients may participate in training related to coping, self care, wellness, anger and stress management, financial and household management, job readiness, and relapse prevention. Evidence based complementary treatments include experiential, nutrition, and recreational therapy.
Clients receive individualized aftercare plans to facilitate their successful reintegration into the community. Services may include vocational training, 12 step program induction, and referrals for medical, mental health, and social service programs.
