Erie West VA Clinic is a treatment facility located in Syracuse, New York. It’s part of the Syracuse healthcare system. This clinic specializes in treating veterans and their families. They offer a multitude of services that include outpatient treatment for behavioral health and addiction.

During the beginning stages of sobriety the journey to recovery proper guidance, support and continued treatment provide a lot of relief and help build a strong foundation towards your healing. However, a referral is required before you enroll.

This facility provides a comfortable, safe, and secure environment to help you recover. A team of licensed professionals will assist with developing a treatment plan to help identify goals, strengths, and weaknesses to better get you on the road to success.

Outpatient treatment provides the flexibility of allowing you to maintain your responsibilities throughout the week and be able to go home while you attend therapy throughout the week. The therapy throughout the week will consist of group and individualized counseling sessions and they also help with medication management.

PTSD care is also available here offering psychological and psychiatric counseling, and services for veterans experiencing homelessness. They will provide you with new coping skills and introduce you to a more holistic and healthier approach to problem solving and help you develop healthier thinking patterns.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Intervention Services

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

Medically Assisted Detox

Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
