Adult and Teen Challenge Chicago provides alcohol and drug rehab services for adolescents and adults in Chicago, Illinois. They specialize in the treatment of mental health and substance abuse through a Christ based program. Available services include residential treatment and aftercare support.
Their holistic program addresses the needs of your body, mind and spirit to help you become more balanced. The program also helps you develop a solid spiritual foundation to build relationships with your family, church and local community. Spiritual support includes daily chapel time, choir music, praise and worship opportunities and staff provided Biblical counseling. In addition, you have access to Bible courses and a work-study program. Work experience may include cooking, catering, grounds maintenance, landscaping, painting, janitorial services and auto detailing.
Both on and off campus, clients can participate in scheduled recreational activities that vary depending on the season. Students may enjoy a game of pool or ping pong in the recreation room, play basketball outside or work out in the weight room. During their leisure time, they can also enjoy movies and recreational activities which helps build positive relationships with others and staff. Aftercare services may include referrals to nearby providers who can offer longer term recovery support through sober living houses, transportation services, job training, job placement and related resources.
