About The Link Halfway House – Norfolk
Located in Norfolk, Nebraska, The Link Halfway House is a 9 to 12 month residential program for adult men who have recently completed inpatient treatment for a substance use disorder. Accepting clients from throughout Nebraska and even occasionally out of state, participants focus on the goals of motivation, responsibility, and productivity as they prepare for reintegration into their community. The program is licensed by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Based on the 12 step model, they offer individual and group counseling for co-occurring mental health and substance use issues. Therapy focuses on subjects like anger resolution, family and relationship issues, and grief.
They provide assistance with job services and learning life skills, as well as connecting men to community resources such as the local community college and the YMCA. Participation in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and similar groups is strongly encouraged.
