About UK King’s Daughters Medical Center – Ashland
The UK King’s Daughters Medical Center on Lexington Avenue in Ashland, Kentucky has a comprehensive substance abuse program for adults that includes medication assisted treatment (MAT).
They accept admissions any time day or night. Referrals may be from a medical, mental health or social services professional or from family, friends, or as self-referral.
There are close to 30 beds on the Behavioral Medicine Unit, with four specifically for withdrawal management. Mental health staff are available to offer support 24/7 with psychiatrists making any care or treatment final decisions as far as admission or outpatient referrals go. The also have outpatient treatment for addiction with MAT.
Patients who are experiencing a mental health and behavioral health crisis can seek an assessment and mental health evaluation by coming to the medical center and requesting help. You or your loved one will be assessed and the psychiatrist will determine whether an admission is the best course of action.
From there, your treatment may include medication stabilization management, individual and family therapy and 24 hour behavioral health monitoring and support. There are recreational therapy and group therapy available as a part of treatment as well. This could be part of inpatient or outpatient treatment.
The UK King’s Daughters Behavioral Medicine Unit is looking out for the best interest and well being of patients and families. They also take care of the medical needs of patients with physical health diagnostics and healthcare for all that ails you, not just your addiction.
They won’t turn away someone from care just because of financial inability to pay. They do accept most insurance plans, including state and federal health insurance. There are financial assistance plans available if needed.
