About Vesta – Germantown
Vesta is a nonprofit private behavioral health care organization with seven locations throughout Maryland. The treatment center is in a quiet corner of Germantown, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C., and one of Montgomery County’s largest communities. They’re right off Fredericks Road, which can connect you to local shops and restaurants.
They provide a range of services to address the psychological needs of people in the community. They were founded in 1981 and have served over 1,500 clients statewide. They provide outpatient therapy and medication management to individuals ages seven and up experiencing mental health conditions that affect daily life.
They also offer substance use disorder counseling in individual and group therapy settings. For your mental health treatment or substance use disorder, you undergo a comprehensive evaluation and assessment to determine your needs.
If your program calls for co-occurring disorder treatment, also called dual diagnosis, they ensure that you receive treatment simultaneously for both your substance use disorder and mental health conditions. They can also manage any medications you’re taking so that treating disorder won’t heighten the other.
They offer a holistic and whole person approach to treatment, understanding that you are more than just the sum of your symptoms. You begin receiving treatment by completing a referral form and submitting it with your ID and insurance card.
Their medication management program is led by psychiatric nurse practitioners who are licensed to give you the support you need alongside your therapeutic services. Providers ensure that you’re receiving the right medication at the right dose and will monitor you for side effects that may require adjusting your medication.
They work with Maryland Medicaid, Medicare, and self pay clients. They also assess uninsured people living in Maryland to receive the proper care required to support sustainable recovery.
