About WestCare – Hal Rogers Appalachian Recovery Center – Ashcamp

Hal Rogers Appalachian Recovery Center serves people who live in Ashcamp, Kentucky. It’s operated by WestCare and offers intensive alcohol and drug abuse treatment services for men. The curriculum at the residential facility is designed specifically to address the issues that men struggle with during recovery. The program lasts for a minimum of 90 days.

Ashcamp is a small town surrounded by trees and hills, which provides you with the right amount of tranquility to focus on your recovery. It offers clients the opportunity to relax and heal in nearby nature areas such as the Breaks Interstate Park.

The services you’ll receive to help you begin healing include individual and group counseling and alcohol and drug education classes. Your counselors will likely use evidence based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. CBT can help develop your coping skills and motivational interviewing can improve your motivation to change.

Intravenous drug users have a higher risk of getting infections such as HIV/AIDS. The staff members provide HIV/AIDS education to give clients the knowledge they need for prevention or treatment.

Some additional helpful services offered at Hal Rogers Appalachian Recovery Center include parenting classes and optional weekly onsite chapel services. The goal of all these services is to empower men to become responsible for their own recovery.
