About Zepf Center – Collingwood Boulevard – Toledo
Zepf Center’s Health and Wellness Center is on Collingwood Boulevard in Toledo, Ohio. They are a local non-profit for behavioral health and job prep services for youths and adults with severe and persistent mental illness. In October of 2012, this center adopted the Ohio Department of Mental Health’s (ODMH) Health Home model. This way they can provide coordinated care for their clients. They have different hours during the summer than the regular school year.
If you need more specialized services, they can refer you to other Zepf Centers that specialize in substance abuse, gambling, recovery housing, or emergency crises.
Several programs are intended to bring families closer together and to help children as young as 2 years old with mental health disorders. They offer parenting classes, tips on how parents can connect better with their young children, and how to deal with kids who talk back, are disrespectful, and have behavioral problems. Medication management to help ensure your kids get the right dose of the right medication.
The center also programs to promote an active lifestyle for all family members. They have karate classes, art, yoga, and education for basic reading and school skills. There’s also a grant program to help fathers be more involved with their kids’ activities.
