Zept Center – Ottawa House is a residential treatment facility for adults in Toledo, Ohio who need help overcoming a drug or alcohol addiction. This center lets you work on your recovery in a safe and supervised environment that promotes sobriety and incorporates proven treatments.

Your providers will follow the 12 Step model of recovery. They’ll also incorporate treatment programs that highlight your personal strengths. Something I like is that they let you enjoy the home and don’t place too many restrictions on you. At the same time there are a few steps they want you to take.

First you must detox if you’re still under the influence of drugs or alcohol when you enter treatment. Then you’ll meet with your case manager weekly once you start your plan. This gives you a chance to discuss how your progress is going and see if you need any referrals to outside providers. They’d also ask you to attend onsite sober support meetings. Plus you’ll need to pitch in with daily chores.

One thing I appreciate about this facility is that they’re invested in your overall health and wellness. In addition to helping you overcome your addiction they’ll help you find a job and continue your education even after you leave treatment. They also hold family education classes. This lets your loved ones learn more about what you’re going through and how they’ll be able to support you.
