About Andrus Childrens Center – Mental Health Division – Yonkers
The Andrus Children Center is a treatment facility located in Yonkers, New York. Here at this facility, they offer services to children and their families who are struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
For substance abuse treatment this facility collaborates with Encompass Mental Health to offer help to adolescents age 12 and up who are struggling with or at risk of addiction.
This gives your child an opportunity to get the level of care they need. The team will help them develop healthier lifestyle choices and use holistic therapies to improve their wellbeing. This can encourage change, self-awareness, self-care and independence. It helps them become motivated to engage in recreational fun or hobbies.
The holistic therapies they utilize here include motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy among many more. During treatment talk therapy, coping skills, stress management, and emotional regulation will be discussed to help your child utilize the tools they gain while in treatment. This is a 17 week program that’s offered in the community and also at schools.
