About ARC Maternal & Infant Program – Madison
The ARC Maternal & Infant Program in Madison, Wisconsin, is a specialized residential treatment facility that works with pregnant and postpartum women who are working through struggles with drug, alcohol, or substance use disorders.
You’ll get to work through your recovery journey while living with your child. This allows you to continue bonding with your baby while developing the skills you need to lead a healthy and sober lifestyle.
Participation in this program is free, as it’s funded by the state. There are other services available through this organization including a day treatment program. Many of those services are covered under Medicaid as well.
This program accepts referrals from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. If you are criminally involved, this program can help you tackle life with the skills you need to minimize the risk of relapse. Through therapy, counseling, parenting support, and access to services that will improve your health and wellness, you’ll learn how to lead an independent, healthy, and sober lifestyle.
If you are still pregnant, you will have access to services that will prepare you for a healthy pregnancy and birth. You will be equipped with the knowledge to take this next step in life, and you’ll have access to delivery planning, supportive care from a parenting social worker, and a safe recovery environment to live in as you work through your addiction treatment.
Infants here are supported through the developmental services they need to start life strong. When you have this supportive care for your child, you can focus fully on working through your recovery plan.
There is babysitting care while you are in treatment groups. Plus, you’ll also have access to education and modeling services that will teach you how to best take care of your infant child. This includes learning how to bond with them, how to nurture and care for their physical and mental health, and what to know and be prepared for throughout their formative years.
