About Catholic Charities of Steuben – The Weider House Community Residence – Bath
The Weider House Community Residence is an 18 bed residential reintegration facility for men struggling with substance use disorder in Hornell, New York. This facility boasts a warm and homey atmosphere where you can rebuild your life without distractions.
You must be diagnosed with substance use disorder (SUD), homeless or in an unsuitable living condition and need ongoing care like outpatient therapy to be eligible. The program focuses on helping you reintegrate into everyday life while building a strong support network. They offer continued support and guidance tailored to your recovery needs.
You can expect to participate in recovery focused group and individual counseling sessions. Individual counseling enables you to work on personal challenges with your primary counselor and develop tailored strategies for your recovery. Your counselor will monitor your progress and provide support as necessary.
Group counseling enables you to connect with peers in recovery to share experiences in a supportive setting that inspires personal growth. It also facilitates personal responsibility, accountability and community engagement which is essential for sober living.
You may participate in daily residential chores like general cleaning and other routine activities. This helps you to build character, learn patience and promote independent living. They offer educational services which may include life skills training, financial literacy workshops and relapse prevention classes. The goal is to equip you with the tools necessary for successful recovery and sober living.
The program may integrate spiritual care with opportunities for prayer and reflection. You may even receive spiritual counseling. This can be a great way to explore your beliefs and find inner peace in your recovery journey. It’s all about healing, growth and finding a path to a healthier future free of alcohol and drugs.
The program lasts about six months during which you would have built a solid foundation for independent and sober living. They may connect you to community resources that support your recovery after graduation. These may include transitional or permanent housing, job placement and medical care. This program is licensed by New York State’s OASAS which means it meets high standards for quality treatment.
