Coleman Health Services is a network of addiction and mental health treatment centers throughout Ohio including this location in Ravenna, Ohio. They have a lot of support services and community health and wellness services, but they also have a strong addiction treatment program here, too.
At this facility they have an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for drug and alcohol addiction. They’ll start with a comprehensive assessment to evaluate your addiction and to determine what types of services and treatments will be most helpful for you. They take a person centered approach, so it’s not just about coaching you for sobriety but it’s about fostering your overall wellness. The goal is to make changes so you don’t feel so drawn to drugs and alcohol. In addition, they offer medications to reduce your cravings for drugs and alcohol which can be helpful at any stage of recovery.
The bulk of the IOP is group counseling which you’ll have for nine hours per week. In group you’ll talk about many challenges that arise throughout recovery, and you’ll share support with others who are in recovery. Along with group therapy you’ll have individual addiction counseling and addiction education. They provide case management, too, to help you establish your independent and sober life and to connect you with other resources you may need.
