About Pathways – Lansdowne Drive – Ashland
Pathways on Lansdowne Drive in Ashland, Kentucky was founded in 1966 when a group of people from the area responded to President John F. Kennedy’s initiative to drastically alter how behavioral health care services are delivered. Today it’s a respected treatment center for addiction and mental health.
The company employs over 450 qualified staff who provide behavioral health services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, and substance use disorders. Each year, the many locations throughout Kentucky serve over 14,000 people.
This location provides many outpatient and prevention services designed to work collaboratively to your benefit. They offer substance use disorder treatment using various evidence-based treatment models for families and individuals with special programs for service members, and veterans. They also provide services using telehealth when you have difficulty with mobility or transportation.
Your program may include individual, group, or family therapy to address your needs. They offer an intensive outpatient program delivered in person only. The program addresses mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and dual diagnosis. Dual diagnosis programs must simultaneously address mental health conditions and substance use disorders to achieve the best rate of success.
The DUI program here offers treatment and education if you have been charged or convicted of driving under the influence. They also have specialized programs for women, and women who are pregnant or have recently given birth, called the KY Moms MATR or Maternal Assistance Towards Recovery.
Their substance use disorder treatment also includes a Sobriety Treatment And Recovery Team or START. This is designed to serve you when your family is involved with the child welfare system and has a child who’s 5 years or younger with one parent who’s been diagnosed with a substance use disorder.
This model was designed to engage and retain parents in treatment while keeping their children safe and within the family unit. The goal is to prevent out-of-home placements while promoting child safety. Within the program, you have access to job placement and job support, which helps you get employed after achieving sobriety.
