About Townhall II – Horizon House – Kent
Townhall II – Horizon House is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Kent, Ohio. They provide substance use disorder treatment as well as a 24 hour suicide prevention line for people who are having a mental health crisis. Where many rehabs go out of business in the first year or two, this place has been in existence for almost half a decade. They offer both outpatient and residential treatment for women. Their medical staff can provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) if it is necessary.
If you are in the residential program, you will have a full day of therapy. You’ll engage in many group sessions throughout the day. You’ll also get to meet with a counselor for individual sessions. Your family members may be invited to participate in therapy if you or your therapist think it is necessary.
The company participates in Ohio’s three-day (72-hour) driver intervention program. This is an alternative to the three-day jail sentence that comes with a conviction of Operating a Vehicle while Impaired charge in the state. This program will provide both drug education and screening.
They also have programs for people who have experienced violence or assault because of substance use. They can treat people who have become violent due to alcohol or drug consumption.
Gambling addiction is a common co-occurring disorder that is present alongside substance use disorder. Because of this the staff at Townhall II are trained to support people who struggle with gambling issues as well.
